Resistivity change day-to-day

Rapid daily changes in resistivity in a landfill soil cover due to a heavy rainfall from July 2 to 4, 2011. Dark blue zones represent a decrease in resistivity due to water infiltration through the soil cover. Development of a yellow zone at the end of the period represent gas migration due to water percolation into waste body.

Resistivity change every 3 hours

Changes in resistivity every third hour in a landfill soil cover due to a heavy rainfall from July 2 to 4, 2011. Dark blue zones represent a decrease in resistivity due to rain water infiltration through the soil cover. Development of a yellow/red zones near the migrating water front represent gas movement due to water percolation in the soil cover and the waste body.
